I absolutely love the Wii Mario Party 9 – World Edition! This game is perfect for a night in with friends or family, and it never fails to bring out the competitive spirit in all of us. The USA NTSC version with the World Edition packaging is such a fun touch, and I appreciate that there are no region restrictions so I can play it on my U.S. Wii system without any issues. Plus, the fact that it plays on all U.S. Wii systems means I can easily bring it over to a friend’s house for even more gaming fun!
One of my favorite features of this game is the Boss Battles at the end of each stage. It’s such a unique addition to the Mario Party franchise and adds an extra level of excitement to the game. It’s so satisfying when everyone has to work together to defeat classic foes like Bowser and King Boo, but still remain competitive in order to boost our individual scores. It definitely keeps us on our toes and makes for some hilarious moments!
The special vehicles in this game are also a game-changer (pun intended). Instead of just moving around the board individually, we all ride together in one vehicle and take turns being the Captain by hitting Dice Blocks. It keeps things moving smoothly and ensures that everyone is always involved in the action. And with multiple paths along the way, no two games ever play out exactly the same way! From Toad Road to Boo’s Horror Castle, there are so many different themed stages that incorporate familiar elements from the Mario franchise – it’s pure nostalgia mixed with new challenges.
And let’s not forget about the 80 new minigames included in this edition! They range from making pizzas to escaping haunted mansions to racing snowmobiles – there’s never a dull moment when playing these outrageous games. And if we don’t have time for a full stage, we can always play in smaller chunks of time thanks to Free Play mode or try out some fun extras like Goomba Bowling or Castle Clearout.
